Viola Tea Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 4 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon snipped fresh chives, dill or your favorite The Villages Grown herb
  • ¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • ¼ cup violas, chopped (The Villages Grown)
  • 4 slices brioche or challah bread, crusts trimmed, if desired, and cut into quarters
  • Toppers: thin radish slices, thin cucumber slices, microgreens, whole viola flowers
  • Flaked sea salt (optional)

Directions

In a small bowl stir together the cream cheese, herb, and black pepper until smooth. Stir in chopped violas. Spread over brioche slices. Add toppers. Sprinkle with flaked sea salt, if desired.
